Hello,
I’m a local. I graduated from Kingsley High School, but grew up on a small farm “in
the middle of nowhere” – now known as the outskirts of Chum’s Corners.
I have been an educator for just over 3 decades. Most of my teaching has been at
the post-secondary level. I’ve lived and taught in Michigan, Spain, Arkansas, and
Virginia. I moved back to Michigan about a decade ago because my father had
terminal cancer. After his passing, I decided to stay in Northern Michigan.
Following some experiences as a short and long-term sub in the Northwest Ed ISD,
I settled into teaching at Buckley Community Schools in the fall of 2018. This is a
great community and school! My passion is to travel and explore near and far. I
also have a small hobby farm with some animals.
My credentials:
- Associate of Arts – Northwestern Michigan College, Traverse City, MI
- Bachelor of Arts – Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI
- Master of Arts – Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI
- Doctor of Modern Languages (D.M.L. - Spanish & French) – Middlebury College,
Middlebury, VT.
